dr. Trevor Lewis, principal trumpet
A native of Ohio, Dr. Trevor Lewis graduated from Case Institute of Technology with a B.S. in physics and from The Pennsylvania State University with a Ph.D. in nuclear physics. He then served as faculty at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Notre Dame before joining the Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, where he remained for 31 years until his retirement. Dr. Lewis has served as Principal Trumpet in the Washington Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Philharmonia, and the Edgewood Symphony Orchestra; and Assistant Principal Trumpet in the Pittsburgh Civic Orchestra. He is a member of the Idaho Brass Quintet, was a founding member of the Chapel Brass and Unity Brass Quintets, organized and led the all-Dixieland Maple Street Band, and has performed as Principal Trumpet and soloist with the Elkhorn Music Festival. He has also performed as a soloist with the Idaho Falls Symphony and the Edgewood Symphony Orchestra.
