Special Performances

The Idaho Falls Symphony offers many education and outreach programs, including a few special performances. These concerts tend to be a little shorter to cater to younger audiences, are usually offered at a reduced ticket price, and tend to include Instrument Petting Zoos for some extra engagement before the show.

Saturday, October 19, 2:00pm

We will present the Carnival of the Animals with a narrator to guide students through a twenty-minute piece by French composer Camille Saint-Saëns. Movements from the piece include lions, elephants, birds, fish, and much more! Be sure to join us at the venue between 1:00 and 1:45pm to participate in one of our Instrument Petting Zoos!

Ticket Pricing:

$10 per adult
$5 per child ages 12+ (includes college students with an ID)
FREE for children 11 and under with an adult
There is NO CHARGE to participate in the Instrument Petting Zoo!

Each year we partner with either District 91 or District 93 to bring a large portion of their elementary students (grades 3, 4, or 5) to experience a concert at the Civic Center for the Performing Arts. Other school districts, including private and charter schools, and home-schooled students are also invited. This year, we’ll be performing The Nutcracker!

This concert is not open to the public.
If you would like to bring students to the performance, please contact our Education Coordinator.
