Clarissa Tracy, flute
Clarissa Tracy just began her junior year at Brigham Young University- Idaho pursuing a Bachelor degree in Music Performance. She currently studies under Dr. Nadine Watson Luke and was chosen as the Concerto winner for the BYU-I Department of Music. When Clarissa is not at college, she resides in Spokane, Washington. Recently, she performed with the Spokane Symphony as a winner of the Musicfest Northwest Young Artist Competition. This summer, she was a performer at The Consummate Flutist with guest artist Marianne Gedigian in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and a performer at Jim Walker’s Beyond the Masterclass in Los Angeles. She had the privilege of attending high school in the Atlanta, Georgia area studying under Candace Keach from the Macon Symphony and finished her high school career in Spokane, Washington studying under Alaina Bercilla from the Spokane Symphony. During Clarissa’s senior year of high school, she had the opportunity to travel with the Pacific Honors Ensemble Program to the Queensland Conservatory in Australia. While in college, she participated in a music study abroad to Italy, Germany, Austria, and France broadening her horizons and love of world travel. Clarissa loves to help others and wants to continue to teach the art of flute playing. When not practicing her instrument, she enjoys hobbies such as singing, yoga, skiing, and ballroom dancing.
